Karun Raman, a self made Chennai boy has won the hearts of many people. He started off as a fashion choreographer and is now doing a lot more. He has his own column in DC and has his own radio show called Sip of my Cosmo. He is currently hosting a show called called Enga Vittu Mapillai with actor Arya on colors Tamil.
At the peak of his career you would think Karun would be too busy to meet his friends or boast about what he has achieved. Karun is the complete opposite. He is grounded, honest and humble. To be a public figure, especially in a city like Chennai, You need to have the ability to connect with people. His hard work shows in whatever he does and everyone around him knows and respects him for it.
His work aside, Karun loves to watch some good television with a cocktail and chill with his friends in his cute little home which I recently visited. His home reflects who he is as a person. Clean and neat interiors with bright splashes of colour. He takes time off from work once in a while to travel and relax. He has his own unique fashion sense. He loves his V neck T-shirts, loves strong brows and strong lashes. He has been very open about his love for makeup. When I was on his show sip of my Cosmo, We spoke a lot about how Makeup is universal and is something that brings people together. Makeup isn’t something that should only be worn by women. He has always said that everyone should have the freedom to express themselves in whichever way and should feel comfortable doing so.
1. What is the best part about living in a city like Chennai?
The best part about living in a city like Chennai is that the people are lovely and very accepting over here. For a Boy like me to live my life so openly is no joke. I have amazing friends like Apsara and your parents who are always there to support me. People have been much more supportive off late and that’s what keeps me going 2. What is your favourite cocktail?
As I always say.. a sip of my Cosmo.. my favourite cocktail is a cosmopolitan! 3. What keeps you motivated?
I keep myself motivated. No one can motivate me apart from myself and my mothers support obviously. Without her I’m nothing ! 4. Name three things that every man needs in his wadrobe

Wow, you remember my homemade lip balms! Well, it’s a little bit of leftover lip balms, Vaseline, a little bit of lavender or any aroma oil, a little bit of coconut oil, a little bit of lipstick or concealer and a lot of love 8. How do you juggle your professional and personal life?
My professional life is at its peak and I don’t want to mix it with my personal life. I’m single now and it’s been the best way for me to concentrate on my career. Even though I’m on the look out for a man, I think everything will happen when it has to happen 9. What are your favourite makeup products that you think everyone should own?
My all time Favourite Mascara- Better Than sex by Too faced, Bobby Brown eyeliner, Mac compact, nude lipstick, body glitter and a nice highlighter is what I think everyone should own 10. Name one new restaurant or bar in the city that you think everyone should visit
