Regina Cassandra

Apart from the fact that Regina has a jawline sharp enough to cut your fingers. Reg is super funny, Talented and extremely grounded. She is one of the fittest actresses here in south India and is doing extremely well for herself.

Everybody knows Regina As a Popular actress with extremely striking features, but there is a lot more to her than her good looks. She is very talented in all aspects. There is something about Regina that makes everyone around her feel at ease. She has an amazing aura and everyone who knows her well will know exactly what I am talking about.

Before I met Regina, I first came across an article about a bold dress she wore for the IIFA Utsavam awards in 2016. It was a sexy purple dress that she carried off so well. I can easily say that I can’t name another actress who could have pulled off that dress the way she did. With the body Regina has, she can wear anything. But what I like about her dressing sense is that she wears clothes that are very different. She wears a lot of colours, bold prints and Indian looks with a twist.

Regina started acting at the age of 16. Her first film was Kanda Naal Mudhal. Before she did her first film she did a lot of commercials. She also anchored for splash kids when she was 9. She won a SIIMA award in 2012 for her debut film in telugu, Shiva Manasulo Shruti. She is currently working on Mr. Chandramouli and Awe. 1.When did you realize you wanted to become an actress? Oh wellll... I decided to let acting be a career option after my under grad. So there was no dawning or realising like - hey maybe I want to be an actress. However, there’s a story to how it all started. I was around 10 years old when I did my first ad. It was for Maltova. I had an exam that day and Ma has always been the strict “you have to study well” kinda mother. So we decided I’ll go to school finish the exam and errrr... I had to fake a tummy ache and ask to be sent home.. hahaha it worked.. I finished my exam did the shoot and the rest followed on. I liked psychology and thought I’d pursue a career in that. There was always a Plan A and a Plan B. I dabbled in a bit of both and this is what I chose.

2.Who has been your favourite co- star by far?

I’ve been asked this question many a time. All us actors are. These are the ones that lead to our famously infamous rumours also.. I have worked with a lot of lovely people, and let me tell you something, none of the co-stars are gonna be bad. Well, we’ve got a movie to make so being nice/ friendly only helps. But, I have to say this.. I’m currently workin on a film called Mr. Chandramouli with Karthik sir and Gautham Karthik. Karthik sir ♥️ what a human being! We sit on set between shots and have such amazing conversations. There’s something about his presence. If you’ve met him you’d know what I mean.

3.What are the three things that you carry with you during a night out?

My lip balm! Card/cash Phone 4.For a day at the beach, what would you wear?

My swimsuit, shorts over them and a loose shirt. Flip flops ofcourse. Sometime just my workout clothes, because beach workouts are fun!

5.Three things you would want to do in the next one year?

Learn a new language Improve my fitness levels Take out more time to spend with family and friends.

6.Your favourite makeup look on yourself, night and day

The dewy look and the no make up look..

7.One lipstick shade that you can’t live without

Mocha by Mac

8.Who is the one actor you would like to work with in the future?

At the risk of sounding far fetched.. Gerard Butler..

9.Are you a kamal Hassan or Rajini Sir fan?

Both! Not because they have always been the best at what they do but because it takes a loooot to be on top of your game and even more to stay there! 10. If there one movie role you would want to steal from anyone, which role would it be?

Hahahaha.. none.. when I watch a movie I do think how I would’ve reacted or how I would’ve done that particular scene but the whole role and stealing it.. nah.. hasn’t crossed me mind yet...

Thank you for speaking to me Reg. Hard work and talent go hand in hand. Looking forward to seeing Mr. chandramouli and Awe!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. See you in my next one x
